Pink glitter bagToday is Laundry Day.  I’m cycling 9 loads through today; 10 if I get around to my bedding.  I suppose I could do a couple loads a day, but I hate putting it away almost as much as I hate forcing having the kids do it.  So if I keep the joy to one day a week, well, we’re all happier.  The first load I did this morning was a big pile of jeans.  Before washing, I always check the pockets for surprises, which I did this morning and was very happy to have found a teeny-tiny little bag of green glitter!

PinkYay Mommy, right?!  But what I missed was the teeny-tiny little bags of pink and purple glittler. I didn’t find these until after the second load was dry!  4 loads are now clean, dry, smelling great, folded… and covered in glitter!!  I have tried to clean out the drum of the dryer, but it’s just not happening.

I don’t suppose the girls will mind too much that their clothes sparkle (I don’t really mind that mine do) - but I’m not sure Dan and Len are going to like the new glam look.

Even Len's jeans are shimmeringGlittery kitchen floor 1

One pegAnyway, it is a beautiful day here!  Finally!

And when I say beautiful, I mean the sun is shining and there is no rain, snow, hail, freezing fog or plague of locusts… The sun is out and although it is still very cold, I can feel it warming my back while I hang clothes on the line!

Spring - please hurry!

I hope you’re day is as shimmering as mine!
