Lovely. I think we all need to be reminded from time to time. Thanks!
Beautifully written.
I love that! You are so right. Love isn’t a feeling, it is an action. A choice that you make every day.
amen!
Thanks Amber!
Huh? I’m already seated, Amber, in front of my computer, and next to my hamster Duckie who’s smiling right now! I love him, but I’m not gay!
Thanks for this great post!

That’s what I’ve felt of love, that it’s more of a commitment than anything else. A commitment to see it through and be kind and supportive, and encourage the best in each other.
But do you love me?
Goodness, Amber. You wear many hats, indeed. Wife, mother, superhero, neighborhood crime fighter, AND resident minister. Is there ANYTHING that you can not do well? Lovely sentiment, for sure.
thank you thank you sooo much for reminding me of this passage. and thank you for your editorial on it - i couldn’t have put it better myself.
have a good new year xx
I followed Pink Sun Drops link to this post… I love it! This has always been one of my absolutely favorite Bible verses. It is just so beautiful. Love is a commitment, and is patient and kind. I try to remember these specifics as I’m getting through my 1st year of marriage.
Jilbur, I love thee! Does that count? Or was it a product of chocolate intoxication?
Yes, that counts dear!

Hear hear. Although this passage always reminds of my friend’s wedding blessing. Another of her friends read it out with a VERY thick Brummie accent which always makes me smile.
